Stony Brook University

State University of New York

SBU is one of the flagship campuses of the State University of New York. The campus has a very active scientific research presence, including the Quantum Information Technology Lab, from which Qunnect’s innovations were licensed. The University also generously provided Qunnect access to fibers connecting out R&D facility to the QIT lab for pilot testing.

Brookhaven National Laboratory

A passion for discovery

BNL’s 2,500-plus staff members lead and support diverse research teams that address the Department of Energy’s mission to ensure the nation’s security and prosperity by addressing its energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges through transformative science and technology solutions. Qunnect collaborates with the Quantum Information Sciences (QIS) group at BNL to develop the next generation of quantum devices and protocols.

Department of Energy

The DOE Office of Science is an integral partner in the National Quantum Initiative and has launched a range of multidisciplinary research programs in QIS. The efforts cut across the six major program offices within the Office of Science. They include efforts to develop quantum computers as testbeds, to design new algorithms for quantum computing, and to use quantum computing to model fundamental physics, chemistry, and materials phenomena. Qunnect is a partner in their efforts to develop entanglement-based quantum communication devices and protocols which will be the foundation of a future quantum network.

Air Force Research Lab

Developping Tomorrow’s Technology

The AFRL leads the discovery, development and delivery of warfighting technologies for our air, space and cyberspace forces. Through a collaboration with the AFRL campus in Rome, NY, Qunnect intends to expand a quantum secure network across NY state.

Quantonation

Capital Investors for the Quantum Future

Quantonation is the first early stage VC fund dedicated to Quantum Technologies and Deep Physics. Thanks to its scientific expertise, Quantonation aims at supporting the transition of these technologies into commercially available products for the industry. Quantonation was established in 2018 and has invested across Europe and Canada.

Quantum Economic Development Consortium

Enabling the Quantum Ecosystem

The QED-C is a consortium of stakeholders which aims to enable and grow the U.S. quantum industry. QED-C was established with support from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as part of the Federal strategy for advancing quantum information science through the 2018 National Quantum Initiative Act. With 100+ members, QED-C brings industry representatives and government agencies together to discuss the challenges in advancing Quantum Information Sciences and associated technologies.

Accelerate NY Seed Fund

SEED FUND SUPPORTING EMERGING SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY IN NY

In partnership with Empire State Development, the Accelerate NY Seed Fund supports science and technology-based early-stage ventures located in Downstate New York. They provide critical seed and pre-seed funding for early stage growth and facilitate the transition from laboratory research and ideas into products, processes and services.

Clean Energy Business Incubator Program

CEBIP seeks to address many key needs of an early-stage, energy-based technology business. This is particularly critical in today’s rapidly changing marketplace. Supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), CEBIP provides access to an unsurpassed team of partners and resources to maximize the prospects for new business ventures. CEBIP will continuously work towards the development of a successful clean energy economy with the ultimate goal of creating new jobs and making a strong economic impact in New York.

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York

The Research Foundation for The State University of New York (RF) is the largest comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country. It exists to serve the State University of New York (SUNY) by providing essential administrative services that enable SUNY faculty to focus their efforts on the education of students and the performance of life-changing research across a wide range of disciplines including medicine, engineering, physical sciences, energy, computer science, and social sciences.

NewLab
